Our patients keep telling us that it's our team that makes the difference.
We pride ourselves on our caring, thoughtful, genuinely friendly team. We take the time to get to know all our patients and to make sure they always feel welcome, secure and relaxed. Everyone on our team takes continuing education courses in order to continue to improve their skills to better serve our trusting and loyal patients.
Our team has many years of experience in providing orthodontic care, and it's our experience that helps make your experience pleasant and comfortable.
Amnery Castañeda, RDA - Treatment Coordinator
Amnery has worked with Dr. David Alpan since 1999 and has more than 16 years experience in general dentistry and orthodontics.
Besides making comfortable financial arrangements with new patients as our Treatment Coordinator, Amnery helps as a Receptionist, Record's Technician and Chairside Assistant when necessary. Amnery is also our primary liaison with general dentists.
When Amnery is not working, she loves spending time with her children and friends, fixing up her new house, going to the beach, and riding her bicycle.
Jenny Woolfe, RDA, MFC, DD - Administrator
Jenny was a straight A Liberal Arts student at UCLA from 1963-65. After marriage in 1965, Jenny earned an Associate of Arts (AA) Degree in Business Administration at Palomar Community College and was on the Dean’s List for getting straight A’s in all her classes. When her husband finished his tour of duty in the U. S. Navy in 1967, she moved back to Los Angeles. Jenny has been a dental office administrator since 1967.
From 1967 to the present, Jenny earned a Doctor of Divinity (DD) Degree, passed the test to become a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and was certified to be a Marriage and Family Counselor (MFC) by the Esther Sirkin Institute.
Jenny began working with Dr. David Alpan when he started Aesthetic Orthodontics in 1998. Jenny oversees the day-to-day operations and manages the financial aspects of Aesthetic Orthodontics. She serves as the chief liaison between Dr. David Alpan and everyone else.
Jenny helps the Receptionists, interviews people applying to join our team and counsel’s team members and patients. She loves helping everyone achieve their goals as well as fulfilling her own responsibilities.
When not working for Dr. David Alpan, Jenny devotes her time to her husband, two children, her extended family, reading, watching movies and travel.
Lupe Fuentes, RDA - Chairside Assistant, Trainer and Supervisor
Lupe received her Dental Assistant training at Southland College in 1972, passed the test for her X-ray license in March 1999 and passed the Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) test in 2003. Lupe worked as Dr. Jack Alpan’s Chairside assistant for 15 years until his retirement in December 1997.
During that time she learned every job – x-rays, records, inventory control, sterilization, insurance billing, receptionist duties and then trained new team members in every position.
Lupe began working with Dr. David Alpan in January 1998. Besides being a chairside assistant, trainer and supervisor, Lupe helps as a receptionist. Her complete cross training enables her to do everything needed in our offices.
Lupe says, "My greatest satisfaction comes from helping patients achieve their goals."
When Lupe is not working, she loves spending time with her family and friends and watching movies and sports events.
Claudia Nuñez - Receptionist
Claudia received her Dental Assistant training at Bryman College in 1998. Following that, she had two years of experience as a Receptionist in three other offices.
Claudia started working with Dr. David Alpan as a Receptionist in 2000. Claudia enjoys greeting our patients as they come and go from our offices and when they call over the phone. In addition, she receives payments and makes appointments and collection calls.
In April 2003, Claudia had her first child and in February 2009, she had her second child. Because of her dedication to helping people, she chose to come back to work one month after her daughter and after her son was born.
When Claudia is not working at Aesthetic Orthodontics she enjoys taking care of her daughter and son, watching movies, dancing, working out at the gym and visiting with her family and friends .
Nellie Siegel - Receptionist
Nellie worked with Dr. Jack Alpan for 22 years as a receptionist and bill collector until 1997 when Dr. Jack retired from general dentistry for health reasons. She continued working for the dentist who purchased his practice until 2003.
In 2004, Nellie began working with Dr. David Alpan in the Los Angeles office as a receptionist.
Nellie works out at the gym, travels, takes care of her grandchildren and spends time with family and friends when not working in our LA office.
Raymond Aguilar - Computer Technician
Raymond began working at Aesthetic Orthodontics in .. He maintains all the computer software and hardware in the Los Angeles and Beverly hills offices. He trains the rest of the team in the use of the software used to run our offices. He also helps Dr. David Alpan and Dr. Jack Alpan with various projects as needed.
When Raymond is not working he tests computer games and writes reports on his findings. He likes to travel, and spends time with his family and friends.
Jack Alpan, DDS, NMD - Director of Advertising
Dr. Jack Alpan wrote and published two books: 1. The Tune-Up Manual for Humans - How to Live a High Performance Life, 1986, updated in 2009; 2. A Matter of Status, 18 Steps to Freedom, The Hidden Code in the USCON, 1997, updated in 2009. In 1998, the American Naturopathic Medical Association certified him as a Naturopathic Medical Doctor (NMD). In 1998, he began working with Dr. David Alpan at Aesthetic Orthodontics in the following capacities: office design and construction supervisor, editor of written materials, director of marketing - creating text for aeortho.com website, working with webmasters to revise and update same for SEO, photographer, creating advertising layouts, etc.
When Dr. Jack Alpan is not helping his son, he helps his family and friends by sending them emails on health and freedom issues, continues to learn more about health and freedom issues and SEO. He loves to learn, teach, travel, work out at the gym, watch movies and spend time with his family.
Wendy Alpan - Bookkeeping - Cephelometric Tracings
Wendy earned an AA degree in Liberal Arts from Los Angeles Community College with honors - Cumma Sum Laude. She began working for Dr. David Alpan in 2003 as the Records Technician. She moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2006 with her husband and does bookkeeping and cephelometric x-rays for Aesthetic Orthodontics via the computer.
When she is not working for Dr. David Alpan, she loves to exercise, read, watch movies, play with her dog and cat, travel and learn more about health and freedom issues.
Maria Villalta De Romero - Office Maintenance
Maria received her education in El Salvador where she operated her own food service business on a coffee plantation and took care of her husband and four children.
Maria came to California in 1976 and has been taking care of the Alpan family ever since. She helped raise David and Wendy. The Alpan's sponsored Maria's family's emigration to the United States. She, her husband and four children are Citizens of the United States. Her children are all married, have children and their own homes and full time jobs.
When Dr. David Alpan started his Los Angeles office in 1998, Maria asked if she could maintain his office; of course, he gave her the position.
Maria enjoys working out at the gym, traveling, learning more about nutrition and herbs, and she loves being with her family and friends when she is not working.
Cristina Solano
Christina is a Certified Medical Assistant and obtained her phlebotomy certification in 2003. She began working at Aesthetic Orthodontics in 2007 as our receptionist. She is very creative and helps us decorate our offices for every holiday. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 year old daughter, barbecuing, dancing, and creating new recipes for family meals.
Bertha DeLoa
Bertha received her training as a dental assistant at United Education Institute in 1998. She received her Registered Dental Assistant Certificate in 2004. She started working at Aesthetic Orthodontics in 2007 and has nine years experience as an orthodontic assistant. When she is not working, Bertha enjoys spending time with her three teenage children, watching movies and dancing.
Nayrei Zakareian
Nayrei received on-the-job training as a dental assistant at another dental office in 2004. She got her x-ray and polishing license in 2005. She passed the practical part of the RDA test in 2006. She began working at Aesthetic Orthodontics in September 2008 with four years of experience as an orthodontic assistant. In September 2009, she got married. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, working on their new house, car racing (Rally-X), fishing and skiing.
Elvira Bautista
Elvira got an x-ray license in 2002, received her training as a dental
assistant at United Education Institute in 2003 and began working at Aesthetic
Orthodontics in 2006 as our records technician. When she's not working she
enjoys movies, dancing and spending time with her son and family.
Maria Adelaida Cardoza
Adel received her training as a dental assistant at Montebello Carria Academy in 2000 and got her Dental Radiation Safety Certificate in 2002. She then earned an Associate Arts degree at Los Angeles City College in 2007. She intends to continue her training to become a Dental Hygienist. She started working at Aesthetic Orthodontics in 2008. "I give special thanks to Dr. Alpan for making the work atmosphere so pleasant." When Adel is not working, she loves to spend time with family, and friends, and she enjoys dancing, roller skating, swimming and exercising.
